Itineraries

Cantarana is situated within three of the most famous wine producing areas of Piedmont - Monferrato, Astigiano and the Langhes/Roero, therefore it is the ideal starting point from which to discover these three important wine producing regions.

The ‘fiesta’s of the cities between the months of September and November allow you to partake in their ancient country cultures and sample some of their excellent wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco from the Langhes, Arneis, Roero and Bonardo from the Roero and Muscat and Dolcetto from Astigiano.

Don’t forget Alba the centre for white truffles “the princes of all tables” and is excellent with the local wines of the region.

A short distant away it is possible to visit the Abbey of Vezzolano (15 km), which represents a true testimony to the abundant Romanesque architecture of Piedmont.

Also from Cantarana you can easily reach the cities of Asti, Chieri and Turin, each with their own unique monuments, churches, museums and theatres.

For those who like horse riding ‘The Rodeo’ allows you to take a leisurely ride through the beautiful green surrounding hillsides.

For our Bed & Breakfast guests there are also mountain bikes available, where you can really enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the countryside that only bike rides can achieve.
